young job-seekers hiding their facebook pages article - RESPONSE

1.) Name two statements from the article that you agree with and explain as to why you agree. Did any of the information offend you or did you feel was an invasion of privacy?
One of the people in this article changed his last name to his middle name. i liked this because of the same reason he had. Lefcort said "I just didnt want to be found by someone who was looking for me that im not friends with."
An employer states how he doesnt even look at facebook when researching a potential employee. Matlock said " I haven't looked at [an applicants] facebook page," "I try to stay away from it, myself. i think its too personal. "
I'm not really offended but i dont like how far employers seem to go when searching their applicants. A normal back ground check for criminal record and such, and just an interview should be suffice.

2.) List two things that YOU will personally change in your profile so that your reputation will not be jeopardized.
I might change my last name to my middle name instead because it seems like a good idea and wouldnt hurt. Also I will be more cautious as to what type of pictures i post and pictures I' tagged in, just to be on the safe side.

3. Comment on at least two of your classmates' responses to this article assignment. Do you agree or disagree with them? Explain your reasoning.
